Country hotel
The country hotel has 18 rooms.
Five rooms on the ground floor and ten rooms on the upper floor, three rooms are in a separate house from the upper floor
The rooms on the second floor all have a view from every window and the rooms on the first floor all have a private platform.
The rooms all have the same equipment:

Cottages
We offer two 15 sqm. cottages. The cottages are equipped with a double bed 140 x 200 cm, private bathroom, TV and kitchenette. Accommodation for 2 people.
We also offer one 25 sqm. a small cottage equipped with a double bed 140 x 200 cm with a bunk bed over 80 x 190 cm together with a single single bed 90 x 200 cm and a sofa bed 110 x 190 cm. A private toilet and shower, kitchenette and TV are in the house. Accommodation for up to 5 people.
The facilities
Hraunsnef
For those who enjoy mountaineering, it is possible to walk up to Hraunsnefsöxl. Up the mountain are red poles that have been set down 10 meters apart. The walk takes about 3-4 hours. When the weather is at its best, the view from the top is magnificent and you can even see Langjökull from there. If you have any further questions, please ask the reception staff.
Excursions around the animal kingdom
At Hraunsnefi there are all kinds of animals on the move. They are all friendly and like to be petted. They can be a lot of fun and it does not come as a surprise if they come to greet outside the hotel room or restaurant. On the farm we have cows, pigs, sheep, chickens and cats. We proudly welcome lambs from our rural neighbors who have lost their mothers and cared for them.
Hot tubs
We have two hot tubs on site that can be used at any time of the day or night. The water in the pots is natural water that comes from the mountains. After a long journey, it's time to take a look at the hot tub and relax a bit. The pots have lights with sensors so the lights go out automatically and it is easier to see the northern lights if they are present. Bathrobes are provided in the bathrooms and slippers are available in the lobby.
Fireplace
The fireplace is a fireplace under the roof protected by stone walls. On a cold winter evening, we recommend sitting by the fireplace and warming yourself by the hot fire. There are benches and blankets that can be used and relaxed with good drinks and company. We try to keep the fire going every night if the weather allows.
